PSEG Misleading Power Outage Map

By the time Hurricane Isaias hit Long Island,  it became a tropical storm, but the damage it has done to the Island is very extensive.  The last time we lost power was Hurricane Sandy.

The power went out on Tuesday, 8/4, around 2:35PM.  My family reported to PSEG and were keeping track with PSEG Power Outage Map.   It changed the estimate restoration time a few times.  The latest was 8/8 11PM.

On Thursday evening, 8/6, we got the power back. I started to work remotely on Friday at 9AM but the power went out about 30 min later after hearing a nearby transformer exploding. On the outage map, our area still showed  the estimate restoration was 8/8. 11PM.  We still reported the lost of power.

Yesterday we saw that PSEG cleared the map in our area as if the power was restored even though we didn't have the power. We reported again the lost of power.

Several minutes later we saw a green triangle in our house indicating the lost of power was reported.  As per the outage map a work was being done several blocks away. Once that area was cleared, our area was cleared as well - the green triangle was gone. We still did not have power. We reported 2 times via the app and text since then, but PSEG would not update the outage map.

It is so hot and I could not sleep.  So I have been up since 1:30AM and decided to write this post.  The outage map which was updated 9:45PM yesterday shows that our area is still cleared and our report of lost power went completely ignored.

Today is the 6th day without power. It will be 98 degree. The power needs to be restored soon as possible.
